HERE’S WHAT OUR families HAVE TO SAY…

YOUNG AGES – 7-10 years old

on First Time Participants Experience

Last year was our first year with E&E, and we had a fantastic experience! The coaches were welcoming, responsive, and provided valuable feedback, creating a consistently supportive and enjoyable environment. Our kids loved it and showed significant improvement in their skills. We’re looking forward to another great season! – Family of Ages 7, 8 and 10 Participants

On Nurturing Development By Building Confidence, Strong Communication & Support

My son Ethan started playing with E & E last summer. We had been looking for a new program for him for a while after our older boys quit soccer due to poor experiences elsewhere. I wish we had found E & E sooner because I am sure Ethan’s brothers would still be playing if they had been at E & E.

Coach Raf does a great job at the balancing act of challenging kids to grow and be better without damaging their self-esteem. I am happy with the ratio of kids to coaches as well as his approach to teaching important skills. He makes it challenging and fun. I am also impressed with how well he communicates with parents – best communication experience I have had so far as a parent with 4 kids across multiple sports over the last 15 years…. And honestly, you can’t beat the value that this program offers for the cost.

My son can be a challenge to deal with sometimes, but Coach Raf has handled his behaviour well and has gone the extra mile behind the scenes to demonstrate to me that he sees past the challenging behaviour to see my son’s potential.

My only criticism is that the locations haven’t been ideal. I didn’t realize how much we would be driving when I signed him up, but I would still do it again in a heartbeat. Plus there are many families who are trying to help each other with this challenge, making car pools where possible …. And honestly, given the price of the program and what we are getting out of it, I don’t even feel like I should complain because this is a challenge for a lot of sport programs in this city.

Overall, I have been beyond impressed

On Environment & Experience

My 9-year-old son has had a great experience with this soccer program. The environment is supportive and encouraging while still maintaining the right level of competitiveness. The coach is accessible and always willing to listen, taking the time to address any concerns and find solutions. They care about the players’ growth and often offer more sessions than originally planned, free of charge, which gives the kids more time to develop their skills. We highly recommend this program!

On Feedback & “Every player matters” approach

When I first discovered my son’s interest in soccer, I wanted to find the right place for him to learn and grow. However, finding lessons in Winnipeg was a challenge. That’s when I came across E&E Soccer through a Facebook advertisement.

At first, I was hesitant since I had very little knowledge about the program, but I decided to take a chance and I’m so glad I did! What stood out to me the most was the coach’s dedication and fairness. Every child is given equal opportunity, regardless of their skill level, which I truly appreciate. The coach is also committed to helping each player improve by providing constructive feedback. My son absolutely loves attending every session, and it’s been amazing to watch his passion for soccer grow.

E&E has been a great experience for both of us, and I’m happy we found such a supportive environment for him to develop his skills!

on SUPPORT for CLUB PLAYER DEVELOPMENT & FUTURE GOALS & OPPORTUNITIES

My son who is 12 years old and a soccer fanatic was just starting U12 developmental outdoor season in April of 2024 and being involved in the youth soccer community for the past 15 years with my daughter and the last 9 years with my son I knew how competitive it can be. Especially for the boys.  I had heard of E&E before and how good the training was through some of my daughter’s team mates, but had never tried it with her because she was too busy with her team. So in preparation for U13 this year, I decided to sign him up and try it out.

It was a great decision for him. Not only were the coaches very friendly and supportive, but they could also see in what areas he needed to improve and where he needed confidence boosts. He started with the younger kids and then quickly joined the older ones as well to give him the opportunity of a challenge. My son was discouraged with is club team not wanting to do tournaments and not every child on his team was at the same level he was, so it was great for him to be able to gain individual skill and play with kids at a similar or higher skill level that he was at, to show him that his skills were good, but also give him examples and ideas on how to improve.

Travel wise, there is lots of opportunity for those who wish to go to tournaments to showcase their skills. If University soccer and scholarship opportunities are what you for see yourself pursuing in your soccer career, Coach Danny and Coach Raffaele can set you up. They have lots of contacts in Canada, USA and even in Europe.  Last year Italy came in the summer to offer a camp to E&E members. This year there is an opportunity to go to Italy to train with the same group as well.

One other aspect, if you are older and have played competitive soccer, like my daughter,  there is availability to volunteer and gain experience as coaches and/ or referees as well. I definitely would recommend E&E to others whose children are interested in soccer from any age, whether it is to improve their skills, or just to learn soccer in general, there is something available for all.

On oUT OF TOWN SUPPORT & FLEXIBILITY TO FIND YOUR BEST FIT

When our friends ask why we spend so many hours on the highway driving to E&E, we explain that it has benefited our boys beyond soccer.  While it is true they are developing into better soccer players, they are also becoming more confident and well-rounded people.  What makes it possible for us to be part of E&E (despite the travel) is the multitude of training opportunities for players of all ages, with groups designed to permit players to grow, becoming leaders within their group while at the same time joining a more advanced group so that they remain challenged.  Training sessions are flexible and responsive, and every game is designed to ensure that all participants are engaged until the last seconds of the match.

Coaches Danny & Raff both understand what it takes for good players to mature into great players.  One of the aspects we appreciate most is that the program focuses on individual player development.  At E&E, our boys can play in a highly competitive environment, receiving individually tailored guidance and encouragement to help them reach their full potential in the sport. This approach has elevated their discipline and persistence on the field, making them more effective team players on any team.

on finding new challenges & making memories

Aiden had been playing rec soccer for about two years but needed more. I started looking for some extra training and I saw E&E on Facebook and so I was watching for about six months as well as other programs in Winnipeg. I finally reached out in August and spoke to Raffaele for about two hours the first call and was convinced that this is what Aiden needed as he needed a challenge so we signed up and started going.

At first Aiden was a bit apprehensive because he was used to the people on his other team but that changed very quickly and he made new friends and also some of his old team mates ended up here.  I have been really impressed as there is so much communication on what is going on as well as feedback on the strength and opportunities of your child and the feedback is given to the child as well and sometimes it’s not about the game at all but also leadership skills on the team along with your attitude towards others and your demeanour while in the game or on the sidelines.

Aiden has come so far in his skill set since he’s been here that even other parents comment (what parent doesn’t want to hear positive about their child). Aiden looks so forward to training every week now and it really is so much fun when they are there as they always try to keep the games close. We feel so fortunate to have found E&E for Aiden’s development and the memories he’s making are priceless. The coaches are always looking to compliment the kids as individuals and anytime you want feedback they take the time to talk.

Thank you E&E.

OUR APPROACH

Our approach fosters skills and a lifelong love of the game!

PLAY

The first pillar of our program is Play. We focus on maximizing the opportunities that young players have to play the game, because playing is where they build their confidence, develop their creativity, and mold their passion.

PURPOSE

Everything we do, and every move we make on the pitch is with Purpose. We use this philosophy to shape the players’ ability to make decisions, inform their thinking, and influence their movements and performance to positively affect the outcome of the game.

PROGRESSION

We build Progression into every session as we expose players to different playing environments to allow them to lead and to be challenged by their peers. Every player is vital to the success of every other player.

PATHWAY

We think with the end game in mind for our players. How can we navigate their best Pathway possible in the game? Every player has a path they will ultimately take in the game of soccer, and we specialize in helping our players and their families maximize it.
